" Primavera to develop new maintenance scheduling system

PORT KEMBLA, June 30th 2005 – Primavera Australia has
won the contract to implement a scheduling and capacity planning solution
for BlueScope Steel, at its Port Kembla, NSW, site.
The system will become a central platform to BlueScope Steel's Business Process Optimisation (BPO) project in Port Kembla, a project designed to improve maintenance efficiency. The project team consists of representatives from Primavera, Deloitte, Transfield Services and BlueScope Steel. The Primavera solution at Port Kembla will ultimately replace a number of legacy applications inside BlueScope Steel, and will be managed by Transfield Services as part of the mechanical maintenance agreement, and will also be fully integrated with SAP. In addition to providing a solution for the BPO project at Port Kembla, BlueScope Steel and Silcar have also chosen Primavera for shutdown maintenance scheduling at its Western Port site in Hastings, Victoria.
