Primavera takes to the air with Christchurch International Airport | |
| Christchurch , 12 th October 2005 – Primavera has won the contract to implement a project collaboration, cost and contract management solution for a major project at Christchurch International Airport . The system will become a central platform for the management of information, from documents through to contract control for the team working on the new Terminal Development Project (TDP) for Christchurch International Airport Ltd (CIAL). Selection of Primavera followed a detailed assessment of the market place by Project Managers for the TDP, Carson Group with ProDirections. The system implementation will be managed by Project Systems Solutions (PSS). Richard Cowley of Carson Group noted that the project is one of the largest and most complex projects undertaken in the South Island in recent years. “This requires systems and tools commensurate with the scale, complexity and risk of the project, in order to best manage each of these aspects. “Primavera provides Carson Group and ProDirections with the one-stop solution to control document management, streamline communications, forecast costs and simplify contract control’. Cowley added. “In addition, with 24x7 access to the latest project information, it reduces the effects of a geographically dispersed team”.
